Holiday Donation Drive
In conjunction with our current show, Birthday Candles, 1st Stage is hosting a toiletry donation drive for local nonprofit Fellowship Square from December 4 - 21, 2025.
Mission
Fellowship Square is a nonprofit organization providing affordable housing and supportive services for more than 800 older adults that struggle to make ends meet in the DC metro region. Our communities offer safe, well-maintained apartments that allow residents to age in place with dignity and independence.
Beyond housing, we provide access to nutritious food, transportation, health and wellness programs, and social activities that combat isolation. Many of our residents live on less than $20,000 a year, making everyday necessities difficult to afford. Your donations help fill those gaps by supplying essentials like toiletries and household items that help our residents thrive.
HOW TO DONATE
Option 1
We are accepting unopened, non-repackaged items from the Most Requested Items list.
We are open for Birthday Candles, starting on December 4, Thursdays/Fridays/Saturdays at 6:30pm (showtime at 7:30pm), and Saturdays/Sundays at 1:00pm (showtime at 2:00pm). Feel free to come by and drop off items in our lobby!
Our office is also open Monday-Friday from 10:30am to 5:30pm. If you would like to drop off items before December 4 or during office hours, email audrajacobs@1ststage.org or call 703-854-1856 to schedule a time.
Personal care items and cleaning supplies should be in regular sized packages to be easily distributed for a household. For hygiene donations, full-sized (versus sample-sized) are preferred.
